brown falcon australia

The Brown Falcon (Falco berigora) is a common raptor native to Australia, known for its striking mottled brown plumage and sharp hunting skills. They typically measure around 45-55 cm in length with a wingspan of 1 meter, making them medium-sized birds of prey. Brown Falcons are versatile hunters, preying on small mammals, reptiles, and insects, often seen perched on fence posts or soaring overhead. They are frequently spotted across diverse habitats including grasslands, open woodlands, and farmland. Despite their widespread presence, they face threats from habitat loss and human activity.
