bt50 review Page 2

The Mazda BT-50 is the Australian ute’s underdog, sporting a 2.2L or 3.2L turbo-diesel engine that delivers a solid up to 147 kW and 470 Nm of torque. It’s pretty much Mazda’s take on a tough workhorse with a dash of style, sharing its bones with the Ford Ranger. Pros include a comfortable ride, decent fuel efficiency, and a user-friendly infotainment system. On the downside, its payload and towing capacity lag slightly behind rivals, and the cabin materials can feel a bit budget. New models start around AUD 35,000, while used ones can be snapped up for less on CarShowroom or Tradingpost. Overall, it’s a dependable choice if you want a bit of personality in your daily grind.
