build a navara Page 15

Want to build a Navara that hauls, tours, and doesn’t ride like a pogo stick? Start with a plan: budget, payload needs, and where you’ll actually drive—not the Instagram fantasy.

Do foundations first: quality all‑terrain tyres, a sensible suspension upgrade matched to weight, and a GVM check so you stay legal once bars, canopy and tools pile on.

Add protection and practicality next—bull bar (airbag compatible), bash plates, recovery points, tow bar with brake controller, plus a snorkel if dust or creeks are on the menu.

Then sort the living: dual‑battery with DC‑DC charging, decent UHF, lighting that isn’t a lighthouse impersonation, drawers or tub system, and rated tie‑downs.

Keep cooling and reliability happy with regular servicing, quality filters, and an eye on towing temps; tune only after the hardware’s sorted, and get mods engineered if required.

Stick to ADR compliance, don’t exceed GCM/GVM, and you’ll have a Navara that works hard Monday and plays harder Saturday without the defect notice souvenir.
