No—P-platers in Victoria (P1 and P2) can’t use a mobile phone as a GPS while driving, even if it’s in a cradle, on Bluetooth, or voice-controlled.
Using or touching a phone for navigation, calls, music or anything else is off-limits, full stop—CarPlay and Android Auto included.
If you need directions, use a factory-fitted in‑car navigation system set before you move, or pull over and park safely before fiddling.
Ignore it and expect fines and demerit points—hardly the kind of “upgrade” your probationary licence needs.
