Short answer: yes, in Queensland you can drive on the day your rego expires—it’s valid until midnight on the expiry date.
After 12:00am, it’s unregistered, there’s no grace period, and you’re risking fines plus no CTP cover—about as fun as a flat tyre in peak hour.
Renew online the same day and keep the receipt or email as proof if you’re cutting it fine.
