Building a car collection is a bit like assembling a rock band: you want a mix of characters, not just a bunch of lookalikes. Whether you’re into vintage classics, muscle cars, or the latest electric beasts, the key is passion over practicality. Expect to splash out anywhere from a few thousand dollars for a decent used classic to well over a million AUD for rare exotica. Maintenance and storage can be a wallet-draining hobby, so keep that in mind. For buying and selling, Tradingpost and CarShowroom are your mates, while ServiceCentral can help keep your fleet in fighting form.
