car fines qld Page 770

Chasing info on car fines in QLD? In Queensland, infringement notices come via Police/TMR and payments run through the Qld Government portal; unpaid matters head to SPER. You can look up and pay online, via BPAY, or at Australia Post, and you can nominate another driver or elect to contest in court before the due date. Fines usually carry demerit points recorded for three years; hit 12 points on an open licence and you’re facing a suspension or a good‑behaviour option (P‑platers have lower limits). If you think the camera or device was wrong, request the image and calibration details and get advice; otherwise, paying on time avoids fees and licence grief. For current penalties and rules, check the Queensland Government site—these things change faster than Brisbane weather.
