Chasing that car-park "bird’s-eye view"? It’s a 360-degree camera trick that stitches images from lenses in the grille, mirrors and tail to make a top-down view, so you can dodge gutters and rogue trolleys like a parking ninja.

It usually fires up in reverse or at low speeds, adds steering-guided lines, and can split the screen to zoom in on kerbs.

Just remember: dirty lenses, glare, rain or fisheye distortion can hide nasties, and it won’t see what’s beyond the camera array.

Use it as a clever co-pilot, not a magic force field, and you’ll park like a pro without kissing concrete.
