Ah, the nostalgic charm of car phones—those bulky relics from the era when mobile meant lugging around a handset the size of a brick. Nowadays, they're about as common as a horse-drawn carriage in Sydney traffic. Modern vehicles favour Bluetooth connectivity and integrated infotainment systems over dedicated car phones. If you’re hunting for one, you’re likely to find vintage models on sites like Tradingpost or CarShowroom, but don’t expect 4G speeds or touchscreen magic.
For practical purposes, your smartphone paired with your car’s system is the way to go. It’ll handle calls, music, and GPS with far less drama and no aerial the size of a flagpole. Still, if you want to impress mates with a bit of retro tech, car phones are an amusing conversation piece at best.
