car prices in perth Page 2

In Perth, car prices are drifting back to earth with the rest of Australia, but they’re not exactly op‑shop cheap. For new cars, expect entry‑level small hatches around AUD 25k–35k drive‑away, popular midsize SUVs AUD 35k–65k, utes AUD 40k–80k, and luxury stuff from AUD 80k+. Used bargains range from scruffy city runabouts under AUD 10k, to solid late‑model commuters at AUD 15k–30k, with near‑new SUVs/utes typically AUD 30k–50k depending on kilometres and spec.

Perth can skew a touch higher thanks to transport and stock mix, and on‑road costs (stamp duty, rego, delivery) still add a few grand to whatever the ad promises. The supply squeeze has eased, so wait times are shorter and bargaining power has returned—music to your wallet. Cross‑check listings on Tradingpost against dealer quotes, and if you’ve got a specific model in mind, weigh service history, remaining warranty, and fresh tyres/brakes before you start high‑fiving your savings.
