To do a car rego check in WA, use the WA Department of Transport’s online service and punch in the plate or VIN—easy as ordering a flat white.
It will show the licence status, expiry date, make/model and other basics so you can see if it’s legit or quietly out of date.
Handy before a purchase, and essential if you’ve just realised the sticker on your windscreen hasn’t existed for years.
For peace of mind, also run a PPSR check to confirm finance owing, write‑off and stolen status, because rego status alone won’t tell you who actually owns it.
If anything looks off, walk away; there are plenty more cars in WA and on Tradingpost.
