cars assessment tool Page 21

Want a proper cars assessment tool, not just vibes and tyre kicking? Start with a valuation from sources like RedBook, then pair it with a PPSR check to confirm finance status and write‑off history.

Add an independent pre‑purchase inspection (NRMA/RACV or similar), an OBD2 scan for hidden faults, and review service records to see who actually changed the oil.

Cross‑check safety with ANCAP ratings, and compare running costs (tyres, timing belts, insurance) so the “cheap” car doesn’t eat your lunch. When you’re ready to shop, Tradingpost makes it easy to filter by price, location and condition so your shortlist doesn’t turn into a shopping trolley.
