cheapest car 2023 Page 3

Hunting the cheapest car of 2023? In Australia, the bargain end of the new-car pool was dominated by the MG 3 and Kia Picanto, typically from about AUD $18k–$22k drive-away depending on trim and state taxes. If your wallet’s feeling especially delicate, the used market is awash with tidy small hatches (think i30, Corolla, Rio) from roughly AUD $6k–$12k, condition and kilometres permitting. Just remember: the absolute cheapest new cars often skimp on shiny safety tech and cabin niceties, so manage expectations like an adult. Running costs are pleasantly low, and insurance won’t make you cry into your servo coffee. For used listings, Tradingpost is a handy trawl without needing a miner’s headlamp.
