check car history sa

In SA, checking a car’s past is easier than finding a pie at a servo—do it properly and you’ll dodge the lemons.

Start with a PPSR search (about $2) using the VIN to confirm if it’s written-off, stolen, or under finance. Then use Service SA’s rego check (plate or VIN) to confirm registration status and expiry. For extra peace of mind, grab a comprehensive report for odometer trends and recalls, and follow up with a pre-purchase inspection.

Match the VIN on the car to the paperwork, and walk away if anything smells like yesterday’s prawns.
