Chery cars are made primarily in China, with the company headquartered in Wuhu, Anhui province.
Australian-market models like the Omoda and Tiggo series are built in China and shipped here, no mystery tours involved.
Chery also operates overseas assembly via CKD kits in some markets—such as Brazil, Iran and Egypt—so badges can differ while the bones are the same.
In short: designed and mostly manufactured in China, with some regional assembly sprinkled about to keep tariffs and logistics in check.
