Start with a ruthless declutter and a thorough vacuum, including under seats and in the crumb caverns otherwise known as seat rails. Use a mild all-purpose cleaner and microfibre cloths for plastics; a soft brush lifts grime from vents and switches without baptising the electrics.
For fabric seats, treat stains first, then light shampoo and extract; for leather, use a pH-neutral cleaner and a sparing conditioner—shiny steering wheels are for arcade machines, not actual cars. Finish glass last with a proper glass cleaner and two-cloth method to dodge streaks, then a matte UV protectant on trims so it doesn’t feel like a slip-n-slide. Finally, bin the tree-shaped perfume and use an odour neutraliser; clean beats cover-up every day of the week.
