In Australia, “Club Permit” usually refers to Victoria’s limited‑use scheme for historic vehicles.

Eligibility is simple enough: the vehicle is generally 25+ years old, you’re a member of a VicRoads‑approved car club, and you provide a Roadworthy Certificate (or approved club safety check) with the application.

Usage is logbook‑based—choose 45 or 90 days per year—and daily commuting isn’t the point, no matter how heroic the carburettor smells.

Period‑correct mods are usually fine, but significant changes may need engineering approval (VASS) or the modified Club Permit category.
