In Australia, the Toyota RAV4’s configurations are a choose-your-own-adventure: GX, GXL, XSE, Cruiser and Edge, with FWD or AWD depending on powertrain.
Engines include a 2.0‑litre petrol FWD CVT, a 2.5‑litre petrol AWD (Edge), and the headline act, the 2.5‑litre hybrid in FWD or e‑Four AWD.
Outputs are about 127 kW (2.0 petrol), 152 kW (2.5 petrol), and 160–163 kW combined (hybrid FWD/AWD), with hybrids sipping roughly 4.7–5.0 L/100 km.
Towing clocks in at up to 2,000 kg braked (2.5 petrol AWD) and around 1,500 kg braked (hybrid), and boot space is up to ~580 L (VDA).
Expect Toyota Safety Sense across the range, solid infotainment, and AWD variants that add extra traction wizardry for sloppy weekends.
