convert nsw licence to vic

Moving to Victoria and need to convert your NSW licence? Head to a VicRoads Customer Service Centre with proof of identity, proof of your Victorian address, and your current NSW licence—then say goodbye to the old card as they swap you onto a Victorian one.

If your licence is current and full, you typically won’t need to re-sit tests; Ls and Ps transfer across under Victorian rules and conditions.

They’ll take a photo, do a quick eyesight check, charge the standard fee, and hand you a temporary paper receipt while the proper card arrives by post.

Sort out any suspensions or fines first, or expect more drama than a Bathurst podium; for the nitty-gritty, check the latest requirements on the official VicRoads site.
