If you’re thinking of a car with an actual crown on the badge, that’s most famously the Toyota Crown—the long-running Japanese luxury sedan with a stylised crown emblem.
Toyota even loves the theme: Corona and Corolla are “crown” derivatives, so you’ll see crown motifs on some older JDM trim badges.
Another marque that literally wore a crown—on a griffin’s head—was Saab, before it bowed out of the spotlight.
Plenty of aftermarket badges also play dress-up with crowns, which muddies the waters faster than a flooded causeway.
If you’ve spotted one in the wild, odds are it’s a Toyota Crown; if it’s quirky and Swedish, it might’ve been a Saab.
