digital driver's licence sa Page 32

South Australia’s Digital Driver’s Licence lives in the mySA GOV app and is legally valid within SA, so yes, you can leave the dog-eared plastic at home—usually.

SA Police accept it, and many pubs and venues do too, but interstate and for some federal checks (think airports) you’ll still want the physical card.

No screenshots: you need the live in-app licence with its dynamic QR/expiry, and a charged phone—battery at 1% won’t impress anyone in uniform.

Set-up is simple: log into mySA GOV, verify your identity, and add your licence; the app pulls your current details automatically.

Keep both handy when travelling and you’ll be golden, because technology is brilliant right up until it isn’t.
