dji phantom 4 battery not charging Page 92

If your DJI Phantom 4 battery refuses to charge, don’t panic; it’s usually more fussy than faulty.

• Let it wake from hibernation: plug into the original charger and leave it for up to 2 hours—no button presses; it must be cool and powered off.
• Temperature matters: only charge around 5–40°C; if it’s fresh out of a hot boot or chilly esky, let it rest to room temp.
• Check the basics: use a genuine charger, clean battery/charger contacts with isopropyl, and confirm the charger outputs about 17.5 V DC.
• LED tells: rapid error flashes or any swelling/soft sides mean the pack’s done—stop using it and take it to an e-waste recycler.
• Software: once it takes a charge, connect to DJI GO 4/Assistant 2 to view cell voltages and apply any firmware updates.

A healthy pack should show steady LEDs within minutes and the percentage will start climbing in the app.

Skip “jump-start” hacks—reviving a deeply over-discharged LiPo can turn your shed into a barbecue; if nothing changes, it’s replacement time.
