does pay id have a limit Page 1258

Short answer: PayID itself doesn’t set a limit; your bank does, because of course it does.

Most Aussie banks cap instant Osko/PayID transfers with per‑transaction limits typically around $1,000–$20,000, plus daily caps, which you can often lift in‑app after extra security checks.

Push something chunky and the bank may delay it for review, split it, or route it as a standard transfer that can take up to 1–2 business days.

Business accounts usually get higher ceilings, and verified payees or trusted devices can nudge limits north.

So yes, there are limits—just not from PayID itself—check your bank’s settings and prepare for the usual “for your security” pop‑ups.
