Driving barefoot in Victoria is perfectly legal and surprisingly common, despite what your mum might tell you. There's no law banning it, so your feet can roam free on those pedals. However, keep in mind that if your barefoot driving somehow contributes to an accident or injury, insurance companies might have something to say about your choice of footwear—or lack thereof. So while you can enjoy the freedom of bare toes, maybe keep a pair of shoes handy if you need to justify your decisions to the insurance company or the cops. For the most part, though, barefoot driving is a quirky little liberty you can enjoy without fear.
