In Queensland, your learner licence (Class C) starts by passing PrepL (the online course and assessment) or the written road-rules test at a customer service centre.
You must be at least 16, show ID, pass an eyesight check, and pay the fee—no shortcuts unless you’ve bribed a kangaroo, which ends badly.
If you’re under 25, log 100 hours of supervised driving, including 10 hours at night, in an approved logbook.
Before booking the practical test, complete the online Hazard Perception Test or you’ll be going nowhere (very legally).
On the road you’ll wear L‑plates, keep a 0.00 BAC, and have a supervisor critiquing your clutch work like it’s reality TV.
Pass the drive test and it’s off to P‑plates and freedom—with rules, obviously. Consult official documentation for exact requirements.
