driving test tips

Ah, the driving test—the ultimate rite of passage where your nerves are tested more than your driving skills. Here are some top-notch tips to help you not embarrass yourself:

• Practice manoeuvres like parallel parking and three-point turns until you can do them blindfolded (but please don’t actually try that).
• Know the road rules inside out; ignorance is not bliss here.
• Stay calm and breathe; panicking will make you do silly things like forgetting to signal or stopping at green lights.
• Check your mirrors frequently and be aware of your surroundings—pretend you’re auditioning for a role as a cautious ninja.
• Don’t forget to adjust your seat and mirrors before you start. Nothing like wasting precious test minutes fiddling with them.
