eating while driving victoria Page 24

In Victoria, munching on your drive isn’t explicitly banned, but don’t get cocky. The law focuses on whether your actions distract you from safe driving. If eating causes you to swerve, miss a stop sign, or generally act like a danger to others, you’re liable for a fine or worse.

So, while there’s no direct prohibition against a cheeky sausage roll, keep those eyes on the road and hands mostly on the wheel. If caught distracted by dinner, you could be fined or penalised for careless driving.

Basically, eat at your own peril and don’t blame the laws if you end up with a ticket or worse.
