When eBay shows “seller away”, they’ve switched on Time Away, so replies and dispatch will be delayed—no apocalypse, just slower postage and slower humans. You can usually still buy the item, but the estimated delivery date will push out to reflect their return. Expect auto-replies to messages and don’t bank on swift answers to picky questions. Check the listing banner for the dates they’re away and the handling time—those are the bits that actually matter. If you need it yesterday, pick a different seller who isn’t off the tools. Always keep comms and payments inside eBay so everyone’s covered.
