electric volt Page 2

The Chevrolet Volt is a plug-in hybrid, not a pure electric car, boasting a combined electric range of around 85 km before the petrol engine kicks in, extending total range to about 600 km. It sports a 1.4-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output near 150 hp. New Volts are rare in Australia, with prices typically ranging from $40,000 to $50,000 AUD on the used market, often found on sites like CarShowroom or Tradingpost. Common gripes include battery degradation, costly repairs, and limited dealer support. Consult official Chevrolet specs for the full lowdown.
