elite drive throttle controller review Page 863

EliteDrive throttle controllers don’t add power; they remap pedal sensitivity so your right foot wakes the engine up sooner—which feels lively, like coffee for your car.

Pros: snappier take-off, less apparent lag in autos and turbo-diesels, and plug‑and‑play install you can undo before service day.

Cons: they can make throttle a bit jumpy in the wet, won’t improve towing grunt or fuel economy on their own, and may raise awkward warranty conversations if something driveline-y goes bang.

Value-wise, expect roughly AUD $150–$300 depending on model and sales; worth it if you crave response, pointless if you already drive in sport mode everywhere.
