euro 6d standard Page 206

Euro 6d is the final, tightened take on Euro 6 emissions rules, pairing WLTP lab tests with on‑road RDE checks so cars behave cleanly beyond the brochure. Compared with earlier 6c and 6d‑TEMP stages, it clamps down harder on NOx and particulates and demands real‑world results within strict conformity margins. In practice that means cleaner diesels, petrol direct‑injection engines with proper particulate filters, and far less test‑cycle trickery. It’s been compulsory across the EU for new registrations since 2021, so any recent Euro model worth its badge is built to it. Australia isn’t the EU, but many imports already meet Euro 6d and local rules are moving to align. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
