ev rebate novated lease Page 8

Ah, the mystical dance between EV rebates and novated leases in Australia—let's unravel this techno-financial tango. Electric vehicle (EV) rebates are often state-based incentives that lower the upfront cost of your shiny new battery-powered chariot. However, when it comes to novated leases, which are salary packaging arrangements where your employer deducts lease payments from your pre-tax income, the rebate treatment can be a bit murky.

Generally, the rebate reduces the purchase price, which in turn lowers your lease payments—sweet music to your wallet. But beware: the specifics vary by state and the lease provider's policies. Novated leases might also affect your eligibility for certain federal or state incentives, so it's a good idea to check with your lease provider and consult the latest government guidelines.
