ev rebates victoria Page 3

Ah, the lure of electric vehicle rebates in Victoria — a cunning scheme to nudge you off your petrol guzzler and into the silent, smug world of EV ownership. Currently, Victoria offers a $3,000 rebate for eligible new electric vehicles priced under $68,740. This is on top of the federal government’s $7,500 rebate, making your wallet slightly less weepy. But beware, the catch is the vehicle must be new, and the scheme has a cap on total funding, so best to jump on it fast before it vanishes into thin air. For used EVs, there’s no rebate to cheer about, so your best bet is scouring Tradingpost or CarShowroom for deals. Always check the official Victorian government site for the latest and greatest before signing on the dotted line.
