ev subsidy victoria Page 32

Short answer: Victoria’s standalone EV purchase subsidy has been scrapped — it ended in 2023, so there’s no current state cash rebate.

The road-user charge on EVs was struck down by the High Court in late 2023, and the state has been handling refunds, but that’s not a subsidy.

If you want a sweetener, look to the federal side: the FBT exemption can make eligible employer-provided EVs under the luxury-car threshold noticeably cheaper.

Otherwise, you’re down to dealer deals and patience — check official Victorian and federal updates before you sign anything.
