excel v laser melbourne Page 301

Comparing the Hyundai Excel and the Ford Laser in Melbourne’s urban jungle is like choosing between a reliable foot soldier and a sprightly scout. The Hyundai Excel offers simplicity, affordability, and straightforward mechanics, making it a decent budget option with easy maintenance. Pros include a more spacious interior and lower running costs, but it can feel a bit underpowered and dated. Meanwhile, the Ford Laser boasts sharper handling and a sportier drive, with more modern styling and usually a bit more pep under the bonnet. Cons for the Laser are often higher maintenance costs and parts that can be scarce or pricey. Both cars can be found on Tradingpost or CarShowroom, with used prices generally ranging from $2000 to $7000 AUD depending on condition and year. Your choice boils down to whether you want comfort and economy or a bit more driving fun—neither will win any beauty contests.
