The 2024 Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park, Melbourne ran on 24 March, and it was a spicy one.

Carlos Sainz won for Ferrari after a clinical drive, with Charles Leclerc second and Lando Norris third, while Max Verstappen retired early with a brake fire.

Over 58 laps the Ferraris looked properly hooked up, reminding everyone that red paint occasionally goes quite fast.

Pit strategy was tidy rather than chaotic, DRS trains behaved themselves (mostly), and the safety car got its steps in.
