f1 car price 2023 Page 8605

Hoping to buy a brand-new 2023 F1 car like it’s a carton of milk? Adorable.

There’s no sticker price: teams build them in-house, and a single chassis with spares effectively costs in the tens of millions of AUD to create and run.

For mere mortals, “used” ex–F1 cars (usually older seasons or show cars) turn up at auction or in private collections for around AUD $1–10+ million, with famous, race-winning machinery going well beyond that.

Even then, expect track-only ownership, eye-watering running costs, and a small entourage of boffins just to get it started—your local servo and a shifter won’t cut it.
