fg falcon automatic transmission fluid Page 102

If your FG Falcon has the 6‑speed ZF auto, it takes ZF Lifeguard 6 (Ford WSS‑M2C924‑A)—the fancy stuff, not generic Dex III.

Expect about 5–6 L for a service refill and roughly 9–10 L for a dry fill, with a pan that has an integrated filter (yes, the one that makes your wallet sigh).

There’s no dipstick: the correct procedure is fill until it dribbles at the level plug with fluid at ~30–40°C, while cycling gears like you’re teaching it ballet.

Change intervals? Officially “sealed for life,” but in Australia “life” often means 60–80,000 km if you tow, taxi, or live in stop‑start traffic.

If yours is the rarer fleet‑spec 4‑speed, it typically uses Mercon V—confirm via build plate and handbook.

Consult official documentation for exact figures.
