Fitting a tow bar to an FG Falcon is mostly nuts, bolts and patience, with a dash of Aussie compliance. Use an ADR-compliant bar rated for your Falcon variant, then remove the rear bumper/trim, bolt the bar to the chassis rails with the supplied hardware, and torque everything to the kit’s specs. Many kits need a neat bumper cut-out; measure twice, trim once, and mind the crash sensors. Wire it with a vehicle-specific loom and a trailer module to keep CANBUS happy and avoid bulb warnings—no crusty Scotch-locks, thanks.
Refit the bumper, add the tongue/ball, check safety chain points, and test lights and trailer brakes if fitted. Expect a competent DIY to take a few hours; a workshop will be quicker and cleaner. Legal bit: the bar must have a rating plate, and you must meet towing mirror and trailer brake rules for the weight you’re hauling. If in doubt, get a pro to install and sign off—your bumper (and boat) will thank you.
