A flying fox ride is essentially a thrilling zipline experience, soaring through the air while suspended from a cable. Popular in adventure parks and nature reserves across Australia, these rides combine adrenaline with scenic views. They typically feature steel cables, harnesses, and braking systems to ensure safety. Prices for commercial rides can range from $30 to $100 AUD per session, depending on length and location; building your own backyard setup is a whole different kettle of fish. Common issues include wear on cables, improper harness fit, and weather-related closures, so always check with providers like Tradingpost or local adventure parks for the best deals and safety records.
