ford ranger delays Page 2

Short version: demand for the new Ford Ranger went ballistic, supply chains played hard to get, and build slots vanished faster than a snag at a Bunnings fundraiser. In Australia, waits have ranged from a few months to well over a year depending on spec, with high-demand trims (hello V6 and Raptor) usually taking the longest. Dealers shuffle allocations, so timing changes with the wind—and the next ship. If you’re in a hurry, be flexible on colour/options, ask dealers outside your postcode, and consider demonstrators or near-new used stock on Tradingpost. Tow packs, premium tech, and niche colours can add extra months, while common specs move quicker. Annoying? Yes. Permanent? No—the backlog is easing as more supply lands.
