ford sync 3 update australia Page 3

Updating Ford SYNC 3 in Australia is about as thrilling as waiting for a kettle, but it’s straightforward: check your current version under Settings > General > About SYNC, then grab the latest package from Ford’s Australian owner portal onto a USB (exFAT, plenty of space). With the car running (or in accessory mode), plug in the USB and let it churn—don’t yank it out unless you fancy entertaining the dealer. Some newer models can do Wi‑Fi updates via Settings > Wi‑Fi > Automatic Updates, which is the set‑and‑forget option for the patient. Map updates are separate, much larger, and may take ages—plan your data and your life accordingly. After the install, you’ll likely upload a small log file back to Ford’s site to confirm success. If you’ve got SYNC 2, sorry—no leapfrogging to SYNC 3 without hardware changes; that’s not a software fairy tale.
