free ppsr check vic Page 135

Short answer: there’s no genuinely free PPSR check in Victoria—or anywhere in Australia.

The official PPSR search is national and costs a small fee (about the price of a servo pie) for a downloadable certificate.

“Free” tools usually just decode a VIN or do a state rego lookup; they won’t confirm finance owing, stolen status, or written‑off history.

If you’re buying, run the PPSR and keep the certificate with the sale docs; it’s cheap insurance against a very expensive headache.
