g wagon tax write off australia Page 375

Dreaming of writing off a G‑Wagon as a business expense? The ATO has other ideas. Passenger cars hit the "car limit" (around $69k for 2024–25), capping depreciation or instant asset write‑off and even GST credits—then apply your business‑use percentage for extra fun. A G‑Class also tangles with Luxury Car Tax, so no, you can’t instantly expense a six‑figure G 63 in one glorious swoop. Temporary full expensing has ended, and small‑business instant asset write‑off thresholds move more than a latte queue, so check current ATO settings. Vehicles with >1,000 kg payload or >9 seats can dodge the car limit, but a G‑Wagon doesn’t.
