games for car rides Page 7

Staring at highway and each other? Time for games for car rides that don’t need mobile data or a rulebook thicker than War and Peace. Go classic with I‑Spy and 20 Questions, spice it up with Number Plate Alphabet or “Categories” where you rattle off brands/animals until someone blanks. Competitive types can try “Song Snippet” (hum 5 seconds, others guess) or “Podcast Bingo” (tick off clichés like “let’s unpack that”). Kids restless? Deploy “Would You Rather” and the “Quiet Game” — the most peaceful minute you’ll ever win. Drivers keep eyes up; passengers handle scoring and snack arbitration.
