gen 3 formula e Page 1615

The Gen 3 Formula E car is the series’ featherweight bruiser: lighter, grippier, and a fair bit meaner.

Key numbers: up to 350 kW peak power (race trim around 300 kW), top speed ~320 km/h, and regen up to 600 kW thanks to dual motor-generators front and rear.

There are no rear hydraulic brakes—regen does most of the stopping—so if you’re clumsy with the throttle, the car politely recycles your mistakes into electricity.

It’s also lighter (about 760 kg), more efficient, and built with an eye on sustainability rather than just lap-time bragging rights.

Fast, clever, and smugly eco, like a barista who can do calculus. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
