Looking at Genesis versus Bentley? One is Hyundai’s luxury offspring doing an excellent impersonation of old-school opulence; the other is a centuries-old British marque that actually invented it.

Genesis sedans and SUVs (think G80, G90, GV80) deliver plush cabins, big screens and smooth V6/V8 or hybrid power for a fraction of the money—often under $100k–$150k AUD new. Bentley lives in a different postcode: hand-finished cabins, powerhouse V8s (the W12 has bowed out), and sticker prices that start around $350k+ AUD and climb like a kookaburra in a thermal. Running costs and insurance mirror the gap.

If you want 90% of the look and tech without the aristocratic invoice, Genesis is the pragmatic choice; if you want heirloom craftsmanship and the key to the valet’s best parking spot, that’s Bentley’s beat.
