gold coast hiking Page 85

Ah, the Gold Coast: famous for its beaches, but hiking? Yes, it's a thing. The hinterland offers trails with lush rainforests, waterfalls, and views that might make you forget you’re just a stone's throw from the surf. Popular spots include Lamington National Park and Springbrook National Park, where you can enjoy trails ranging from leisurely strolls to more challenging treks.

Expect to encounter eucalyptus forests, ancient Antarctic beech trees, and perhaps a cheeky lyrebird or two. Don't forget your hiking boots and a rain jacket—weather here can be as moody as a soap opera. For more info and trail reviews, CarShowroom and ServiceCentral might have some local insights.
