great wall x240 review

The Great Wall X240 is an old-school, body-on-frame SUV that sold here around the late 2000s/early 2010s, tempting buyers with 4x4 looks at hatchback money.

It’s basic to drive—coarse engine, vague steering—and feels more ute than urban cruiser, but the low-range transfer case gives it some genuine light off-road ability.

Cabin quality and refinement are on the budget end, and safety by modern standards is, shall we say, not its party trick.

Running costs aren’t tiny either, with fuel use that’s more “thirsty uncle at a barbie” than “hybrid saint.”

On the plus side, parts and aftermarket support exist, but service history matters and inspection is essential given age and variability.

If you just need a cheap, rough-and-ready weekend basher, it can make sense; if you want polish and airbags galore, keep browsing.
