green p plate rules vic Page 3

Ah, the green P plates in Victoria, the holy grail of newly minted Aussie drivers. In Vic, green Ps signify your probation period after passing your learner's permit stage. You're allowed to drive unsupervised but with some restrictions to keep you safe and sane.

• Speed limit: 90 km/h maximum.
• Passenger limits: Usually one passenger unless supervised.
• Alcohol limit: Zero tolerance - not a drop allowed.
• Display: Green P plates must be displayed front and rear.
• Duration: You must hold your green Ps for a minimum of 12 months before upgrading.

Remember, the rules are strict to keep roads safe and to stop you from turning into a hoon. For all the nitty-gritty details, check the official VicRoads website or ServiceCentral.
